Terms of Service

Terms and conditions for using our services

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Neighborfix Appliance Services ("Neighborfix," "we," "our," or "us"). By scheduling or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Neighborfix Appliance Services provides diagnostic, repair, and installation services for residential appliances.

All services are performed based on the technician's professional assessment at the time of visit.

2. Service Call Fee

  • A service call/diagnostic fee applies to all visits
  • This fee covers time, travel, and diagnosis
  • The fee is non-refundable, even if you choose not to proceed with repairs

3. Estimates & Repairs

  • Estimates are based on visible and diagnosed issues at the time of service
  • Additional problems may be discovered during or after repair
  • Any additional work requires customer approval

4. Payments

Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed.

We accept:

  • Zelle
  • Venmo
  • Payment links (may include processing fees)

Failure to make payment may result in additional charges or collection actions.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Customers must provide at least 2 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling
  • Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a service fee

6. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide safe and clear access to the appliance
  • Ensure proper utilities (water, gas, electricity) are available
  • Secure pets and maintain a safe working environment

Neighborfix reserves the right to refuse or stop service if conditions are unsafe.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neighborfix Appliance Services shall not be liable for:

  • Food loss or spoilage
  • Water damage or leaks
  • Property damage not caused by negligence
  • Loss of use, time, or inconvenience
  • Indirect or consequential damages

8. Warranty

All repairs are subject to our 90-Day Limited Warranty, which applies only to the specific repair performed.

Warranty exclusions apply, including but not limited to:

  • Unrelated failures
  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Misuse or external factors

⚠️ LG & Samsung Disclaimer

Certain manufacturers have known recurring issues:
  • LG refrigerators may experience repeated compressor or sealed system failures
  • Samsung appliances may have recurring ice maker or electronic control issues

Neighborfix does not guarantee prevention of future failures beyond the specific repair performed. Declining recommended repairs may void warranty coverage for related issues.

9. Parts

  • Parts are not guaranteed beyond manufacturer coverage (if applicable)
  • Availability and delays are outside our control
  • Customer-supplied parts are not covered under warranty

10. Abandoned or Unclaimed Equipment

Any equipment left unclaimed or unpaid may be subject to disposal or additional fees after reasonable notice.

11. Right to Refuse Service

Neighborfix reserves the right to refuse service for any reason, including unsafe conditions, harassment, or non-payment history.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page.
